Third Coast Science for You magazine is a not-for-profit that was founded in January 2016 by graduate students in the Life Sciences and Physical and Environmental Sciences Departments at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi under the premise of increasing public awareness on locally important scientific issues. It is our mission to disseminate local scientific research as well as information on locally important environmental topics, founded in science, to better educate the community by publishing a bilingual magazine biannually. We want to provide the connection for our community members to our local scientists and researchers! Additionally, we hope that the magazine serves as a platform for local scientists to better develop general audience communication skills.
We want to extend a huge 'Thank You' to all of our generous sponsors for making Third Coast Science for You possible: The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Marine Science Graduate Student Organization, the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi College of Science and Engineering, the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, and the Texas Coastal Conservation Association

Third Coast Science is a not-for-profit organization with the single purpose of spreading scientifically grounded information to the community. Neither the Third Coast Science organization nor the members of our team earn a dime off of anything we do, but operate entirely on a volunteer basis because we believe in our mission. By making a donation, you can help us push for bigger and cooler projects, events, and programs.
